4-H Fair entries & Livestock Auction forms are due Saturday, July 1, 2017.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 8

  • 8:30am, Dogs on the grounds - Granny Rose Center, Dixon
  • 9am, Dog Judging, Exhibit Building

 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 3

  • 6pm, Clothing Judging & Style Show check-in, Exhibit Building
  • 6:30pm, Clothing Judging & Style Show Judging

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 5

  • 8-8:45am, Foods, General Projects, Home Furnishings, Child Care Check-In, 4-H Building
  • 8:30-8:45am, Cloverbud Projects Check-In, 4-H Building
  • 9am, General Projects, Cloverbuds & Foods Judging - See General Projects Schedule
  • 2pm, Style Show, Hospitality Tent
  • 2pm, Cake Walk followed by Crowning of 4-H Ambassadors, followed by Home Ec. & General Projects Awards Presentation (All Champion Winners), followed by 4-H’ers chosen for State Fair meeting; bring your lawn chairs

 

SUNDAY,  AUGUST 6

  • 3pm, Poultry must be on the grounds
  • 3:30pm, Poultry Judging, Poultry Barn
  • 5-7pm, Sandwich supper, Exhibit Building, 4-H & Carroll Co. Livestock Feeders Assn.
  • 5pm, All beef must be on the grounds, except Bucket Calf
  • 5-6pm, Beef Feeding Weigh-In
  • 6pm, All swine must be on the grounds
  • 6-7pm, Swine weigh-in and check health papers

 

MONDAY,  AUGUST 7

  • 7:30am, Beef Bucket calves must be on the grounds
  • 7:45am, Beef Bucket Calf Records Due to Committee
  • 8am, Beef Breeding Judging, followed by Beef Bucket Calf Project, followed by Beef Feeding, followed by Carcass Class Awards
  • 8am, Master Showmanship Contest – Part 1
  • 9:45am, Cats must be on the grounds
  • 10am, Cat Judging, Hospitality Tent
  • 10:45-11am, Rabbit Check-In
  • 11am, Rabbit Judging, Rabbit Barn
  • Noon, Sheep must be on the grounds; weigh-in
  • 12:30pm, Sheep Judging
  • 12:30pm, Open Showmanship – for any 4-H member 8-18 years old
  • 12:30pm, Master Showmanship Contest – Part 2
  • 12:30pm, Sheep Judging Class for Master Showmanship Contest
  • 1pm, Goats must be on the grounds
  • 1:30pm, Goat Judging; Sheep Barn (follows sheep show)
  • 2-3pm, Committee meeting; post weights; Outstanding Swine Exhibitor Class – See Jared Ruter to get it done
  • 3:30pm, Swine Judging
  • 3:30pm, Open Showmanship – for any 4-H member 8-18 years old
  • 3:30pm, Master Showmanship Contest – Part 3
  • 5:30-7pm, Sandwich supper for swine families & Auction Bidders
  • 7pm, Livestock & Small Animal Auction, East end of Poultry Barn, sponsored by Carroll County 4-H Foundation

 

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9

  • 8am, Horses & Ponies must be on the grounds
  • 8:30am, Horse & Pony Judging – 4-H Arena
  • 8:30am, Park trailers on grass north of arena IN DESIGNATED AREA  (Rain date Friday, August 11)

 

THURSDAY, AUGUST 10

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 12

  • 7-8pm, All exhibits are released; pick up exhibits at the 4-H Building; EVERYONE needs to help with clean-up
